What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
First, check your "pegasus" or "andromeda" email account. If your ID card is returned to our office, we will notify you via an email to your main Rutgers account. You must come to the Rutgers-Newark Photo ID Card Office to pick up the card. There is no fee to retrieve your card. Otherwise, you will need to follow the replacement procedure below. Replacement Procedure Visit the Cashier's Office or photo ID window and explain that you are there to pay the $15 fee for a replacement Rutgers-Newark Photo ID card. Bring your paid receipt (both copies) and a replacement card will be made for you while you wait. You must present a second form of photo ID (driver's license/passport-for your protection) to pick up your lost ID card or to have an ID reissued for any reason. Replacement cards will not be issued unless a receipt for payment is presented. All previously issued cards will be rendered inactive, and will not be reactivated under any circumstances. If you lose a replacement card, you will have to pay the replacement fee again to have another replacement card issued. |

What should I do if my card is damaged?
If your ID card is worn or damaged due to normal use * it can be reprinted and replaced free of charge as long as ALL pieces of the old ID are returned to the office. If damage appears intentional, or if all pieces are not presented, you will be subject to a $15 replacement fee. We strongly advise against punching holes in Rutgers-Newark Photo ID cards.
